ADL Welcomes Decision By King County Prosecutor To Retry Haq Case
Seattle, WA, June 5, 2008 … In a letter to King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) welcomed his decision to retry Naveed Haq.
"While we are disappointed that the case resulted in a mistrial, we commend the King County Prosecutor's Office for its continued commitment to pursuing justice in this matter," said Ellen Bovarnick, Regional Director of ADL's Pacific Northwest Region. "The shooting attack at the Seattle Jewish Federation was a terrible tragedy that has had long-reaching impact on the entire Seattle Jewish Community. We appreciate that the King County Prosecutor understands the sensitive and significant nature of this case."
