ADL called on the president of Ukraine to withdraw the title of “Hero of Ukraine” awarded to two partisans who fought alongside the Nazis and who had direct involvement in the mass killings of Jews and Poles. Stepan Bandera (above left) and Gen. Roman Shukhevych “should not be honored by a democratic Ukraine.”
