Data helps us understand the scale and nature of antisemitism on campus. It informs our actionable recommendations for college and university administrators to create inclusive, safe learning environments. On November 13, ADL released the ADL-Gratz Model Campus Climate Survey, a tool for college and university stakeholders to assess the antisemitism experienced by Jewish students. Created by leading academics at the ADL Center for Antisemitism Research (CAR) and Gratz College, the survey includes tried-and-tested questions developed by a CAR-convened group that includes academics, researchers and experts in antisemitism.

ADL has tracked more than 1,200 antisemitic incidents on college campuses since the Hamas October 7th attack on Israel. At this time of rising antisemitism, ADL launched the Ronald Birnbaum Center to Combat Antisemitism in Education (CCAE) to demand educational institutions meet their legal and moral obligations to provide safe, welcoming learning environments for all students, faculty and staff. The ADL-Gratz Model Campus Climate Survey is the newest ADL digital product to help drive learnings on antisemitism. We hope administrators leverage the survey tool to inform their decisions as we look to drive action and change on campus.
