Civil Peace Flag/Civil Flag of Peacetime

The civil peace flag, also known as the civil flag of peacetime or flag of peace, is a flag commonly used by sovereign citizens, who believe it is the original and legitimate flag of the United States. It is adapted from an obscure version of the American flag from the early 1800s. Sovereign citizens believe the real U.S. flag represents the illegitimate government presently ruling over the United States.  
 
The flag features 13 vertical red and white stripes with blue-on-white stars in the canton, whereas the real U.S. flag features horizontal stripes and white-on-blue stars.
