2025 Report Card
Georgia Tech has a Jewish campus community supported by an active Hillel and Chabad, as well as Jewish Greek life on campus.
What’s Happening on Campus?
In October 2023, an antisemitic incident took place on Georgia Tech's campus when the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity house was vandalized with “Free Palestine” scrawled in shaving cream beneath an Israeli flag on their house.
A month later, in November 2023, a mezuzah was ripped from the doorframe of a dorm room, an act reported as a targeted attempt to intimidate Jewish students. In February 2024, chalked messages stating "Zionists Off Campus!" were found on the campus.
In November 2023, as part of a statewide initiative led by the Hillels of Georgia, solidarity walks were organized across multiple campuses, including Georgia Tech.
University Policies and Responsive Action
Georgia Tech agreed in 2022 to implement the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism on campus.
Following the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023, Georgia Tech's President engaged actively with both Jewish and Muslim student leaders, as well as faculty and staff, to address the impact of the conflict on campus life. The discussions aimed to foster understanding and address issues of harassment, promoting a safer and more inclusive environment.
