ADL leads the way in creating respectful, inclusive and civil environments. These goals also reflect our core values—values we actively promote in every community we reach.

ADL carries out this charge globally and locally, inside and outside classrooms, serving diverse populations. We work with a wide variety of partners, from schools to law enforcement agencies to interfaith groups, and in any number of settings, from public forums to Congress. And we call on every means available—from ADL-authored curricula to a wealth of online resources and in-person trainings.

Change happens only when everyone understands how bigoted words can lead to discrimination and violent actions; what threats to democracy and individual rights look like, including silently standing by; and what responsible, participatory citizens need to do to bring about a just, civil society.
