Label 56, a white supremacist e-commerce app, was removed from Google’s play store this week after ADL notified the platform of the app’s connections to a racist skinhead website.
The app acts as a sales platform for the Label 56 website, a leading white power music label. The website, which sells books, clothing, flags, jewelry and stickers, also distributes racist podcasts.
The e-commerce website behind the app started operations in 2005. The site was created, operated and ultimately incorporated as a LLC by white supremacist Clemie Richard Haught (aka Rick Haught). Haught is one of the founding members of the racist Maryland Skinheads (MDS).
Haught, along with MDS co-founder Jason Tankersley were co-directors of Label 56. Tankersley appears to have since left the partnership. Haught and Label 56 continue to associate with MDS-sponsored events such as their annual St. Patrick’s day concert.
