On December 9, a group of eight individuals associated with the racist skinhead movement were arrested in Lynnwood, Washington, for allegedly assaulting and shouting racial slurs at the DJ at the Rec Room Bar. The DJ, a black man, was reportedly punched and stomped on during the altercation. Each of the eight individuals faces malicious harassment hate crime charges for their alleged role in the assault.

Those charged in the assault include Travis David Condor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Daniel Delbert Dorson of Corvallis, Oregon; Leah N. Northcraft of Raleigh, North Carolina; Randy Aaron Smith of Eugene, Oregon; Nathaniel L. Woodell of Woodstock, Illinois; Guy Albert Miller of Tacoma, Washington; and Vincent Bradley Nutter of Bothell, Washington.

Several of the arrested individuals are connected to the Hammerskin Nation, a violent neo-Nazi skinhead crew known for hosting an annual Martyr’s Day event in Washington, which celebrates their fallen “hero,” notorious white supremacist and terrorist Robert Jay Mathews. Mathews died in a shootout with the FBI on Whidbey Island on December 8, 1984.

Travis David Condor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was charged with assault 4, malicious harassment (hate crime charge), criminal mischief threat use force against person and harassment or threat to kill. Condor, a Hammerskin associate, is well-known in the white power music scene and runs American Defense Records, a white supremacist music label. He has a prior assault conviction in the state of Ohio.

Cory Thomas Colwell of Eugene, Oregon, was charged with assault 4, malicious harassment (hate crime charge), criminal mischief threat use force against person, harassment or threat to kill and obstructing a law enforcement officer. Colwell is known to associate with members of the racist Eugene, Oregon, skinhead scene including American Front member Jake Laskey,  who is currently in prison for stabbing a fellow American Front member in January 2018. Colwell is pictured below (left) wearing a Crew 38 t-shirt. Crew-38 is the support crew for the Hammerskin Nation.

Randy Aaron Smith of Eugene, Oregon, was charged with assault 4, malicious harassment (hate crime charge), criminal mischief threat use force against person and harassment or threat to kill. Smith, a member of Crew-38, attended the group’s 2017 Martyr’s Day event. On social media Smith uses “838,” a numeric reference to the Hammerskin Nation that stands for “Hail Cross Hammers.”

Vincent Bradley Nutter of Bothell, Washington, was also arrested. Nutter was charged with assault 4, malicious harassment (hate crime charge), criminal mischief threat use force against person, harassment or threat to kill and DUI. Nutter, who has an extensive criminal history, is not necessarily affiliated with the Hammerskins, but has several white supremacist tattoos, including the numbers “14” and “88,” as well as a swastika.
