White supremacists are eager to capitalize on the chaos and violence in Charlottesville, and they’re feeling emboldened and validated by President Trump’s weak response to Unite the Right. They view his remarks as a tacit approval of their message. Online -- from Twitter and other mainstream social media platforms to the corners of the dark web -- white supremacists are celebrating the “victory” in Charlottesville, devising plans for their next steps, and offering praise and thanks to the powerful ally they believe they have in the White House.
