The Honorable Antony J. Blinken
Secretary of State
U.S. Department of State

Dear Mr. Secretary,
As you and your advisors plan your schedules for the coming weeks, I urge you to ensure that our nation sends as senior a delegation as possible to the Malmö International Forum on Holocaust Remembrance and Combating Antisemitism taking place on October 13th, 2021.
The Malmö Forum will be the most important intergovernmental summit for combating antisemitism in years, and showing top-level participation will be equally important for sending an important message as the concrete policy pledges that the delegations will be making.
As you stated during your deeply evocative speech to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Days of Remembrance commemoration this April, “We live in a time where anti-Semitism is again on the rise, in America and around the world. And as always, hatred of the Jews tends to go hand in hand with hatred of others – including LGBTQ+ people, people of color, people with disabilities, and refugees. When hateful ideology rises, violence is never far behind.” And that “when people again ask: America, are you still there? We will be among the people who are able to answer: Yes, we are still here.”
We thank you for your commitment to showing American leadership in the fight against bigotry and extremism of all kinds, and we hope your schedule will permit you to participate in this summit as one especially impactful manifestation of that commitment.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Greenblatt
CEO and National Director
