Mr. Leonardo Jmelnitzky
President
Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA)

Argentina
Dear Mr. Jmelnitzky:
As the twentieth anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Jewish community's AMIA-DAIA building in Buenos Aires, Argentina approaches, we once again express our solidarity with the Argentinean Jewish community and remember the eighty-five innocent victims who lost their lives and the hundreds of others wounded on that tragic day, July 18, 1994.
We join with the AMIA, the entire Jewish community of Argentina and so many others around the world in expressing outrage and frustration that the perpetrators of this heinous attack and their collaborators have not yet been brought to justice. We also stand with you in denouncing the Iran-Argentina Memorandum of Understanding, which only undermines efforts to arrest and prosecute under Argentine law those responsible, and in opposing the appeal submitted by the government, challenging the Federal Court’s decision as inadmissible.
The Anti-Defamation League will continue to raise this issue at the highest levels in our meetings with the U.S. government and international leaders until justice is served.
Sincerely,
Barry Curtiss-Lusher Abraham H. Foxman
National Chairman National Director
