ADL Elects Five New Members to Board of Directors

 

Board Strengthened with Leaders from Business, Journalism and Law

New York, NY, February 6, 2025 … ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) today announced the election of five new members to its board of directors:

· Steven E. Fineman, Managing Partner of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP

· Jonathan Kolber, Chairman and CEO of Anfield Ltd

· Max Neuberger, Founder and Publisher of The Circuit, Jewish Insider, and eJewish Philanthropy

· Paula B. Pretlow, Former Senior Vice President of The Capital Group

· Oliver Weisberg, Chief Executive Officer of Blue Pool Capital·  

 

"Jewish communities around the world are facing unprecedented antisemitic threats, making strong leadership more crucial than ever,” said Jonathan A. Greenblatt, ADL CEO and National Director. “In order to win the fight against antisemitism ADL will need to innovate and adopt new strategies, experiment with creative tactics, and take risks. I am confident with these new leaders joining ADL’s board, we will continue adapting our approaches to advocate, educate, and build more bridges of understanding.”

We remain especially grateful for their willingness to serve at a time of purpose and gravity for the Jewish community.”

Each of the new officers was elected to serve a three-year term on the board. Their terms were effective January 1, 2025. 


Steven Fineman 

Steven E. Fineman is Managing Partner of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, recognized nationally as a premier plaintiff-side class action and complex litigation firm.  Mr. Fineman, based in the firm’s New York City office, is a top-ranked lawyer in securities and consumer fraud, and mass torts cases, and writes and speaks frequently on his areas of expertise. Mr. Fineman has served on numerous non-profit boards and is a past co-chair of ADL's Global Leadership Council, a past chair of its NY/NJ Regional Board, a past member of the national board’s Growth Committee, and currently serves as a member of the National Commission.

Jonathan Kolber

Jonathan Kolber is a prominent investor and business leader in Israel’s private equity and technology sectors. He manages and owns Anfield Ltd., is Chairman of ION Asset Management, and serves on the board of Fiverr International (NYSE: FVRR). Previously, Kolber established and ran Claridge Israel, the then largest foreign private equity firm in Israel, for the Canadian Bronfman family.  He is an active angel investor in Israeli tech startups. Kolber also ran Koor Industries Ltd, a large Israeli conglomerate in the telecom and defense electronics space.

Max Neuberger

Max Neuberger is the publisher of The Circuit, Jewish Insider, and eJewish Philanthropy. Max also serves as the Director for the Middle East at 25Madison, a venture studio building health, supply chain, and AI start-ups. A resident of the UAE, Max looks forward to assisting the ADL's partnership with the Manara Center in promoting education and inclusive acceptance in the Middle East. He holds a B.S. from Touro University and an M.A. from Georgetown University.

Paula B. Pretlow

Paula B. Pretlow is a former senior vice president at The Capital Group, where she led the public fund business development and client relationships groups. She serves as board chair of The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation and is a trustee of Northwestern University and The Kresge Foundation. She is also an independent corporate board director. A Northwestern and Stanford (DCI) alumna, Pretlow is recognized for her leadership in philanthropy and has received awards for her contributions to business and social impact.

Oliver Weisberg

Oliver Weisberg is CEO of Blue Pool Capital, a Hong Kong-based investment firm, and Vice Chairman of BSE Global, the parent company of the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, and Barclays Center. A Harvard graduate and fluent Chinese speaker, Weisberg built his career in private equity and hedge fund investing in Asia, including roles at Goldman Sachs and Citadel. He joined Blue Pool in 2015, where he manages sports investments and is a minority owner of BSE Global and the Miami Dolphins.
