Board Strengthened with Leaders from Business, Philanthropy, and Law
New York, NY, January 25, 2024 … ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) today announced the election of two new members to its board of directors: Bernard Taylor, Vice Chair of the National Board for UNICEF USA, and Heidi Packer Eskenazi, Co-Founder of the World Alliance Group.
“Bernard and Heidi’s wealth of expertise in innovation, philanthropy, brand management, and law will be invaluable on ADL’s board,” said Jonathan A. Greenblatt, ADL CEO. “Both have achieved remarkable success in their respective industries and given significant time to ADL over the years, and we look forward to their contributions in steering our organization during this critical time.”
Each of the new officers was elected to serve a three-year term on the board. Their terms were effective January 1, 2024.
“During this time marked by a historic surge in antisemitic incidents, we appreciate the perspectives Bernard and Heidi bring to the table,” said Ben Sax, Chair of ADL’s Board of Directors. “Their insights will be a driving force as we advance our mission to fight antisemitism.”
Bernard Taylor
During his more than 14 years volunteering for ADL, Bernard has served as National Commissioner, member of the ADL Global Leadership Council, Chair of the National Commission Community Engagement Committee and Chair of the Southeast Regional Board. He is a recipient of ADL Southeast’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
After 38 years of practice with the international law firm, Alston & Bird, Bernard retired as a partner and former chair of the firm’s management committee. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, and he currently serves as a mediator and arbitrator for Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services.
His community activity includes serving as the Vice Chair of the National Board for UNICEF USA, former chair of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, former Chair of the DeKalb County Chapter of 100 Black Men of America, member of the Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority Board of Trustees, and trustee of the Vasser Woolley Foundation.
Heidi Packer Eskenazi
Heidi Packer Eskenazi is the Co-Founder of the World Alliance Group, a brand management agency specializing in trademark licensing for fashion designers, food and beverage operators, entertainment and corporate brand owners. With over 30 years of experience in global licensing and strategic marketing initiatives, Heidi is recognized in the licensing industry as a leading visionary.
She previously served as the Chair of the ADL New York and New Jersey region (2021-2023), Chair of the New York/New Jersey Development Committee, National Commissioner, and member of the ADL Global Leadership Council.
Heidi also serves as Co-President of The Charles and Mildred Schnurmacher Foundation, whose mission includes supporting diverse programs in the fields of Judaism, education, health and performing arts. She also served as a member of the Rodeph Sholom School board from 2011-2012.
