Bernard Taylor
During his more than 14 years of volunteering for ADL, Bernard has served as Chair of the National Commission Community Engagement Committee, Chair of the Southeast Regional Board, and is a recipient of ADL Southeast’s Lifetime Achievement Award. His community activity includes serving as the Vice Chair of the National Board for UNICEF USA, former chair of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, former Chair of the DeKalb County Chapter of 100 Black Men of America, member of the Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority Board of Trustees, and trustee of the Vasser Woolley Foundation.
After 38 years of practice with the international law firm, Alston & Bird, Bernard retired as a partner and former chair of the firm’s management committee. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, and he currently serves as a mediator and arbitrator for Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services. Bernard is a graduate of both Wayne State University, and Vanderbilt University School of Law, has four children, two grandchildren, and lives in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
