As Senior Vice President of Counter-Extremism and Intelligence, Oren Segal leads ADL's efforts to combat extremism, terrorism, and all forms of hate, both online and offline. He oversees an integrated team of investigators, analysts, and experts from the Center on Extremism (COE), the Center for Technology and Society (CTS), and Law Enforcement (LE) teams. The Center on Extremism leverages cutting-edge tools and decades of expertise to provide essential data, analysis, and resources on extremism, antisemitism, and hate to policymakers, industry leaders, and the public. COE collaborates closely with ADL’s Law Enforcement team to protect communities by offering intelligence, threat analysis, and training to law enforcement agencies. The Center for Technology & Society focuses on combating antisemitism, hate and harassment across digital platforms, such as social media and online games, through research, advocacy, and partnerships with the tech industry, civil society, and affected communities.

Oren is a frequent speaker on national and international media outlets, offers expert testimony, and speaks at conferences around the world. In recognition of his exceptional service in the public interest, Oren was honored by the FBI in 2006. He was named one of the 50 influential, intriguing, and inspiring American Jews by the Forward in 2019.

Prior to joining ADL in 1998, Oren worked for The New York Times. He is a graduate of Wheaton College in Massachusetts.
